MemorySil stops a four-legged table from rocking by acting as a smart, self-adjusting cushion under each leg. It corrects an uneven floor through its physical properties alone:
1. The zero-pressure effect
On a wobbly table, three legs touch the floor while the fourth hovers over a low spot. With MemorySil pads, the table’s weight pushes down on the three “high” legs. Because MemorySil temporarily yields to near-zero hardness under stress, those legs sink into their pads.
2. Filling the low spot
As the high legs compress, the table lowers until the fourth, shorter leg makes firm contact. Because that leg carries little of the weight, its pad compresses less and stays thicker, filling the gap automatically.
3. Absorbing shocks without spring-back
If you lean on the table, a normal rubber pad would compress and immediately push back, giving a bouncy, swaying motion. MemorySil is viscoelastic: it absorbs energy without fighting back. When you rest your elbows or cut food, the pads absorb the force slowly and quietly and the table stays rock-solid.
4. No moving parts
Automatic levelers based on springs, hydraulic fluid or mechanical valves can jam with dirt or rust. MemorySil has zero moving parts; the chemistry of the silicone does the leveling.
